C4D Focus/Experience

My experience includes capacity building in media and communications, research, and writing reports, communications strategies, and coordinating and managing projects for organizations such as Unicef, International Red Cross, Unesco, Oxfam and Plan International. With Unesco, I facilitated video projects with Maasai people as part of their international programme on the rights of indigenous people. I have experience of working on health (HIV and AIDS and malaria), child and maternal mortality, disaster response and climate change. Previous to my work in development, I was a producer/director at the BBC and Channel 4 where I was responsible for the delivery of the film including the concept, writing the script, organization of the production, timely delivery and budget. Programmes include ‘Mount Kenya’, de-forestation in Mount Kenya for BBC World and ‘Wild About the Bay’, a film about the Sea Empress oil spill for Channel 4.
