C4D Focus/Experience

I am a lecturer in the Institute for Media and Creative Industries at Loughborough University London. I research in the area of media and communication for development and social change. I am the author of Rethinking Media Development Through Evaluation: Beyond Freedom (published by Palgrave Macmillan/Springer, 2017), and co-editor of Communication in International Development: Looking Good or Doing Good? (published by Routledge, 2018), and the editor of Communciation for Development: An Evaluation Framework in Action (published by Practical Action Publishing, 2020). I have previously worked on collaborative research projects with UNICEF C4D, ABC International Development, and International Media Support, with geographic interests in Asia, Pacific, India and Eastern/Southern Africa. My research has contributed to practical outcomes, including the Evaluating C4D Resource Hub (http://www.betterevaluation.org/en/C4D-Hub) and the IDEAS Guide (http://www.betterevaluation.org/en/resources/guide/IDEAS_Guide).
