C4D Focus/Experience

Currently researching interactive mobile phone technology use in Zulu community radio. Previous experience in rural Mozambique working with public schools on student-focused curriculum planning and expansion of ICT4D extracurricular academic clubs. Significant experience planning, facilitating and training others on successful project administration, logistics, finance and M&E reporting. Other interests in mobile news reporting and emergency management, innovative use of grassroots technology, youth empowerment and facilitating journalism workshops.


Role

Research Master's candidate at University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. Currently employed by American Councils for International Education as Resident Director of international Boren awards programs in Maputo, Mozambique.
