SoundThread, an organisation I help set up, looks at the many ways in which music can act as a form of communication. How helping facilitate environments for exchange of ideas and creativity can development mutual respect between people groups from different cultures. For SoundThread this environment is the recording studio. SoundThread provides training for studio engineers and, where possible, sets up studio environments so that musicians can record and release there music independently of any major organisation. We encourage cross boarder collaboration and genre fusion whilst staying true to indigenous musical heritages. SoundThread’s mission is to enrich lives and to restore self-worth and hope by advocating equality in creative opportunities and in the process produce niche music types from around the world.
Role
I founded; SoundThread believes that music is one of the most powerful expressions of culture and this is what makes us human. We believe that the expression through the creativity of music should be supported alongside humanitarian and economical development.
