C4D Focus/Experience

I have 7.5 years work experience with UNICEF. Since last about 3 years I was associated with UNICEF Lucknow as “Sub Regional Coordinator” for Intensive Pulse Polio project at Agra Division. I initially started as “District Underserved Coordinator” with UNICEF Lucknow in Jan.2005. My job was to ensure the vaccination of most vulnerable sect against Polio and other diseases covered under Routine Immunization. I have been responsible for building partnership with the Administration, Religious Institutions, Occupational Leaders, CORE partners, ICDS, NPSP (WHO) and Health department to give the technical and field support. I have also been actively involved with organizing and conduct of events, for enhance capacities of my field staff to understand the different opportunities of advocacy, training of the field staff, developing need base IEC material to meet the program objectives. I successfully led the workforce of more than 500 people during my tenure as Sub Regional Coordinator and apart from Polio Program also had a good experience of implementing the Health and Nutrition program under BSPM leading the whole Sub Regional team. Under Convergence Strategy also I had a good experience of implementing the Hygiene, Water and Sanitation issues and lead the team to conduct the survey for the same and presented the issues before District Health Society Meetings, chaired by DM on regular basis. During this work I had the opportunity to work in close Coordination and Cooperation with the Commissioner, DM, CDO, CMO, DPO, DPRO, BSA, DIOS, DHNSTC, RIO, DSO, PO-DUDA, PO-DRDA, IAP, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jamia Hamdard etc.
