C4D Focus/Experience
My introduction to C4D came when I visited a behavior change communication NGO in Rio de Janeiro while doing graduate field work in Brazil. Upon my return to school, I focused my graduate thesis on the use of C4D, specifically behavior and social change through edutainment, for shifting the historically ingrained cultural norms that perpetuate discrimination and high inequality in Brazil. Using communications to shift beliefs, attitudes, and cultural norms is something I see as applicable to a full array of international issues and immensely powerful for helping to create meaningful change. I joined C4D.org to network with C4D practitioners, learn more about this field (broad and multifaceted as it is), and to gain a better understanding of how to begin working in this area. I look forwarding to connecting with others in this network. barrypamer@gmail.com
