C4D Focus/Experience
I’ve done extensive work in the area of communication for development, and external communication for 12 years in UNICEF and NGO work. I have also experience as a Progra,m Manager on Adolescent and Youth Development and Participation. I have worked in Spain, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Belize, Trinidad and Tobago, Sudan, Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria During these years I have worked in the promotion of individual behaviour/social change, and social mobilization in areas of violence, HIV and risk behaviour prevention; and promotion of healthy life styles trhough integrated models at local level. I have also had the chance to promote children/adolescents’ participation including through social entrepreneurship, sport for development, peer education, youth reporters/one minute for my rights, participatory research and action in communities and advocacy for social policy development. I have also facilitated the production of participatory communication/audio visual productions and other UNICEF communication materials and toolkits. I have also produced and published photography (cvillar©) for numberless UNICEF's publications and Webs.
