C4D Focus/Experience

I have been working on the design of tools for mobile digital storytelling in rural India and South Africa. These address issues of textual literacy in developing communities and use the mobile phone to create and share 'story' items in pictures and sound. We are releasing some free Android phone and tablet apps for this on 3rd July 2012 as part of the Community Generated Media Project.

Role

I am Director of Digital World Research Centre at the University of Surrey UK. We carry out user-centred innovation projects on digital media.
