C4D Focus/Experience

I am a Behavior Change Communication (or C4D) professional with 8+ years of experience. My focus area is 'communication strategy development'. I have completed UNICEF's C4D workshop in 2007-08. Some of my recent projects as chief communication / strategy consultant are as follows: - C4D strategy development for Mobiles for Health (M4H) - a cellphone-based health info service, a USAID project implemented by Abt Associates and D-Net (2011) - Communication for Change strategy for Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), an IFC project (2009-10) - Combatting Iodine Deficiency Disorder (CIDD) project C4D communication strategy development, a UNICEF and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) project (2009-10) - National Nutrition Investment Plan communication strategy development, a UNICEF (Uzbekistan) project (2008) - Bangladesh Private Sector Development Strategy Support Program (PSDSP) communication strategy development, an IFC project implemented by Chemonics International (2007-08) - Promoting Legal Migration to EU, communication strategy development for behavior change, an International Organization for Migration (IOM) project (2007-08) - Promoting Non-scalpel Vascectomy (NSV), behavior change communication (BCC) strategy development under the global ACQUIRE Project, an EngenderHealth project (2007) - Promoting Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH), communication strategy development, a Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (Bangladesh-CCP) project (2007) - Other clients have included Family Health International, Swisscontact, German Technical Cooperation, Hellen Keller International, International Committee of Red Cross, UNFPA, UNDP, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare etc. My work is based in Bangladesh - unless indicated otherwise. There are many other projects where I have worked as a communication consultant.

Role

I work as Head of Strategic Planning at Unitrend Ltd (McCann Worldgroup) in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Thanks to a flexible arrangement, I also take up consulting opportunities with various organizations. Some of the few ongoing include a USAID project titled 'Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action' (MAMA), the USAID-funded 'Strengthening Democratic Local Governance' or SDLG and IFC's Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD).
