C4D Focus/Experience
I have worked in international development in project management roles, in developing country strategy and as an adviser to programmes, most recently with a focus on civil society strengthening and working in fragile and conflict affected states. My experience of communication for development has been limited, but I have supported the development of a strategic communications plan for a large programme in Afghanistan, and within the programme we are looking at strengthening the role of the media to enhance the responsiveness of government to citizens. In addition we are looking at the role of communications in enhancing the advocacy capacity of civil society organisations.
Role
