Involved in design and roll out of behaviour change communication strategies for flagship programmes of governments in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh on issues surrounding: water and sanitation; empowerment of adolescents; education; gender equity and basic services to the poor. Have also led a multi-country DFID action research to improve efficiency and transparency of services to the poor in India, Pakistan and Croatia. Have been a development journalist for over 16 years and written extensively in international and national new agencies. Led the advocacy for Community Radio and information kiosks for villages in India. Have worked for NGOs such as OneWorld South Asia; Rural Development Institute (Seattle-based); and Water and Sanitation Program, World Bank.
