C4D Focus/Experience
I am a photographer, participatory photography and video trainer using visual media as a tool for social change, to give a voice, for dialogue, bring people together and for peacbuilding. I have been working in this field this 2008 and have worked with InsightShare (Soledad Muniz told me about this network), Fotosynthesis (my own consultancy company), Photovoice, Build Up, IFAD and more. Im particularly interested in peacebuilding (and gender), dialogue, lands rights, migrations and advocacy, Latin America. I have worked in Central African Republic using participatory video a part of a two-way communication process and dialogue between civil society and the national government around issues of DDR and SSR. I am also working with Conciliation Resources in London supporting their communication strategy with te Colombian Truth, Memory and Reconciliation Women commission.
Role
I founded Fotosynthesis in 2009, we are a Community Interest Company. Im the Managing Director and Consultant. I am in charge of developing and delivering the projects, securing the fundings and developing new methodologies. I am also a freelance PV and PP trainer and consultant ,filmmaker and photographer and curator.
