C4D Focus/Experience
I have 11 years of experience as a communications specialist with ample experience on extension and transforming research results into formats suitable for a variety of audiences and stakeholders. My a focus has been on temperate and tropical forestry and agroforestry, agriculture, sustainable management of natural resources and the environment. I have worked in several development and research projects in a diversity of roles, but mainly involving the dissemination of policy and research results to a range of stakeholders such as policy makers, extension services, NGOs, and rural communities. My experience includes writing for academic, extension, training and advocacy purposes; editing academic and non-academic documents and publications; in-house design and publishing of both printed and digital publications; proofreading and translation; training of extension service providers and NGO personnel; and organizing and facilitating workshops. Recently, I have gained postgraduate qualifications with an MSc in Communication for Innovation & Development at the University of Reading.
Role
Currently working for Bioversity International on a short-term Research Fellowship to carry out a global assessment of the current state of Forest Genetic Resources teaching in higher education.
