C4D Focus/Experience
My focus is in community development using innovative and effective communication strategies and advocacy techniques particularly in providing good quality Early Childhood Development (ECD) services for vulnerable children and families. I'm a trained communicator with a BA in Media and Communication from the Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication (CARIMAC) UWI, Mona. I have regional experience working in the ECD sector throughout the Eastern Caribbean over the last 4 years. I've had responsibilities for media relations and communications, materials development and dissemination, mobilisation and capacity building. I've also served as coordinator and supervisor for Communication and Community Development interns from the CARIMAC, UWI.
Role
The Foundation for the Development of Caribbean Children (FDCC), previously the Caribbean Child Support Initiative (CCSI) programme. My last role was Donor Relations and Communications Officer. Before that I was Programme Officer for Communication, Youth and Community Advocacy.
