C4D Focus/Experience

My name is Angelo Ghelardi and I have been working for five years in project management and behavior change communication. In particular, in 2010/11 I worked in Angola with UMMI, an Italian NGO, as a Country Director and Project Manager running projects focused on health promotion. Since September 2011, I have been working as a C4D consultant at UNICEF Angola Communication Section where I manage a behavior change communication programme focused on families’ adoption of high impact practices for children under-five related to health, education and protection. Since May 2014, to respond to the drought crisis in the Southern provinces of Angola, I have been involved in planning and implementing the C4D strategy to promote high impact practices at family level related to nutrition, WASH and protection of children. In addition, from 2011 I have improved my social mobilization skills by participating in planning and implementation of polio vaccination campaigns that UNICEF conducts in Angola.
